El Pony Pisador is a five-piece group from Barcelona that mixes folk and traditional music from all over the world in perfect balance between virtuosity and a sense of humour.
After the release of their second album Matricular una Galera (2019) and its follow-up Jaja salu2 (2020) the band has grown a lot in their native Catalonia, becoming one of the artists that has made more concerts in the 2021 season, even with Covid-19. El Pony Pisador are a blow of fresh air in the catalan scene and the fans have responded with utmost fidelity. In 2022 they have done 65 shows including concerts in Canada, Germany, Belgium and Holland.
Currently they are working with british band The Longest John's in order to make an EP together that will be released early 2023. El Pony Pisador are careful of their arrangements and vocal harmonies so folk fans meet all their expectations, but their funny style makes their music attractive to audiences from outside the folk genre.
Every concert is unique, as they never repeat a set-list. For the last two years, they have joined forces with a drummer, a Double bass player and a keyboardist, so no stage is big enough.
